Character Concept
Montogomery Blightheart is a war veteran, bittered and lonely that earns his wages from the retirement pension given for his services long time ago plus his current salary for teaching in the Army Acadamy about tactics in history.

In concept the character enbodies the idea of remorse, a person living in his past, beliving that all that was worth living for has already passed, remembering what it was to be happy.

Choose Role and Nature.
Monty is a rational person, pessimistic and skeptical. He is usually looking at the negative side of life thus providing him with a highly critical attitude toward anything that he faces, as well as the will to confront it. While not a leader per se he will be the voice of reason among his peers.
To further define your character, consider the following questions during the creation process.

How old are you?
73 years old (August 13, 1940.

How old do you look? Feel? Act?
Coherently to my real age

What is your family life like? (Parents? Siblings? Spouse/s? Child[ren]?)
Widow, has two children both boys: Jeremy and Thomas "Tim" Blightheart. Jer died in the Iraq war and Tim is married with two beautiful children and serve as volunteer in the local fire department, calls from time to time. Monty still loves his wife as she is the only spark of life steaming him to wake up in the morning and keep going

Where are you from? (Birthplace? Nationality? Culture? Social class? Upbringing?)
Born in Hartford, Connecticut he was brought up in the middle class from a long line of military ancesters. He was raised to be a patriot, to defend America from all enemies even if that meant to give his own life in the process, as many of his own grandfathers did.

He lives close to West Point today, in his old house where he has all his memories with him.

What do you believe? (Religion? Politics? Philosophy? How do you treat people who believe differently?)
He was educated as a christian but after all this years he became cinic toward religion, considering himself now to be skepetic.

What do you do? (Work experience? Current job? Hobbies?)
Montogomery teaches tatics in history at the Military Warfare Academy of the Army since his retirement 20 years ago, as a hobbie he spends most of his free time doing modelling in his own home, creating replicas of old battles in miniature, as well as models of war vehicules and weapons.

He went to battle and came back to become a full time teacher at the warfare school. His rank up to the war was Captain after the years of good service he managed to position as Coronel.

How do you deal with life's problems? (Force? Avoidance? Negotiation? Cleverness?)
Let thy bitterness to be his shield. This bitter man is direct and confrontotional with everything he dislikes, using all resources at hand to handle the situation. Cleverness and influence are his most common weapons of choice.

Monty was a very bright man, even now that his mind isn't what it used to be he can surprise a lot of people with his awarness and wits.

When did you first experience a brush with death? (How did it impact your life? Your personality?)
Monty had a difficult time helping his wife as they were confronted with their son's death. It was especially hard for her because he was their oldest son. A few years later, Monty's worst nightmare came to life when Amanda, his beloved wife, passed away. Apparently due to the sadness she felt or at least he thought that was the reason. The physicians said that her heart failed due to age. Monty knew better.

Since then he has been struggling to keep himself alive, suicide hasn't ever occured to him since in the bottom of his heart he believes that only God can decide when a person must die. For now he endures stoically until the time comes when he can be reunited with his Amanda.

What is your greatest love? (What would you be willing to sacrifice for it?)
Amanda. His only true love, she has even been and she will ever be.

What is your greatest regret? (What in your past would you change if you could?)
Die in war as a hero, instead of dying slowly as an old man.

What is your greatest hate? (A person? A prejudice? Directed inward or outward? Why?)
He holds no hate in his heart.

What is your greatest fear? (A phobia? A trauma? Failure/rejection? Why?)
To get ill and die slowly in his bed.

What is your self-image? (What are your three greatest strengths? Weaknesses?)
A Hero! One of the tough guys that made this country be what it is!

What actor would play your character if this were a movie?
Patton, in Patton.
